As part of the Rural Iowa at a Glance series, a report on Iowa’s population trends has been released. The report presents trends for Iowa’s central metropolitan, exurban metropolitan, micropolitan, and rural areas between 2015 to 2025, as well as trends for adjacent states and the nationally. Indicators include: population, natural change (births less deaths), domestic migration, international migration, age structure, and race and ethnicity.
